The Prodigy P2 electric brake controller is designed to supply power to your tow vehicle's brakes proportionally, ensuring that your trailer's brakes are applied at the same time and with the same strength as your vehicle's, even in reverse gear. This seamless braking system means that your vehicle's brakes are not overworked, extending the longevity of your brakes compared to time-based controls.

The P2 also cuts power to the trailer's brakes when your vehicle is stopped, extending the life of the magnets and brake shoes in the trailer's brake assemblies. Additionally, the Prodigy P2 features a boost function that provides more initial braking power for towing heavier loads, sending 13 or 25 percent more power to the trailer brakes as needed.

One of the key features of the P2 is its automatic leveling capability, which ensures smooth and comfortable braking even on steep hills or when towing through the mountains. The self-leveling feature also makes the Prodigy easy to install, as it can be mounted at any vertical angle within the cab.

The P2's continuous diagnostic check monitors the connection and magnet condition, allowing users to address any issues before they become a problem on the road. Furthermore, the brake controller has reverse battery protection to preserve the unit and accessory systems, as well as a power-save mode to reduce battery drain when the controller is not in use.

The included mounting pocket makes the Prodigy P2 portable, allowing you to easily transfer the brake controller to another vehicle. The setup process is straightforward, as one end of the pigtail harness plugs directly into your vehicle, while the other end connects to the P2.
